World Earth Day was on April 22nd, and to celebrate our incredible planet, we took Cubetto across the savannah to meet some friendly new faces! Find out how we upcycled Pim and Pom from some old plastic milk bottles!
Materials
Milk bottle (any size)
Scissors
Googly eyes
Double-sided sticky tape or PVC glue
Decorations (e.g. tissue paper, pipe cleaners, glitter glue, washi tape, etc.)
How to
Rinse your old milk cartons inside and out so your new friends are sparkly clean! Once you’ve done this, carefully cut the handles as pictured for the trunk, and cut horizontally until you’re left with the elephant’s trunk and body. Optional: you can cut out semicircles for the elephant’s legs. Keep the semicircles for later!
Papier-mâché your elephant or tape washi tape around the edges for a smooth coating.
Make a slit in the semicircles and bend a small tab. Use these to secure your flaps to the elephant.
Stick on the googly eyes and jazz up your elephant friend with some colourful pom poms or any other material!
Place your new friend on the map and program Cubetto over to reach them!
