Primo Toys + Cubetto Teacher at  Bett 2018

The British Education Training and Technology Show (Bett) is the perfect place to find new ways to enrich STEAM learning in the Early Years or KS1 classroom. Primo Toys will be returning to Bett next week for the third year running. This year we’re bringing one of our Cubetto educators with us to share personal experiences of teaching with a programming language children can touch.

Teacher Playtime at BETT

Learning through play is at the heart of everything we do at Primo. At Bett we’ll be giving educators the chance to experience first-hand the fundamentals of programming through play.

By tinkering around with Cubetto yourself, you’ll be able to understand how children as young as three can create their own stories through code. Cubetto sets itself apart from other early education coding products on the market by linking code creation to story making. No screen, no wires and a simple child-friendly design means that all learners – including children without language or literacy skills – can master the basic principles of coding literacy.

This year Cubetto has won the prestigious Bett Award for Early Years Content so we’ll be celebrating our win by running Cubetto challenges for teachers with exciting coding prizes up for grabs!

Meet a Cubetto Educator

Every classroom has its unique set of challenges when it comes to embedding computing skills into the curriculum for young learners. This year at Bett, former Assistant Head Stephanie Lundy-Bryan will be with the Primo team to share her experiences of using Cubetto in the Early Years and Primary classroom. Stephanie is excited to talk about all things Cubetto with fellow passionate educators, including:

  • Building tangible coding into free-flow planning in EYFS
  • Establishing Cubetto as a whole class teaching tool in Y1
  • Managing classroom transitions with Cubetto
  • Evidencing assessment milestones with Cubetto
  • Maximising the value of Cubetto through More Able Interventions and STEAM clubs

Have questions about how Cubetto could integrate into your teaching and learning road map? Book a one-to-one chat with us at Bett stand F98. We look forward to meeting you!
